Eva Windlin-Jansen, U-12 Team Head Coach
Eva Windlin-Jansen brings a tremendous wealth of experience to the Splash coaching staff. She spent 11 years as a NCAA Division One and NAIA coach, most recently at Gonzaga University. She has coached All-Americans and All-Conference Players, amassed more than 20 years of camp coaching and a decade of club coaching. A former Swiss National Player, she’s competed in the European Championships, was a Division One player at University of Oregon, appearing in the NCAA tournament, with her team landing in the top 20. She has taken her Splash teams to the Junior Nationals and the National Volleyball Festival, winning several tournament championships along the way. She has coached dozens of Splash players over the years, many of who went on to earn academic and athletic scholarships at all levels of collegiate play and some that have come back to coach for Splash. Eva is currently the Head Coach at Freeman High School.
Brandy Sonderland, U-13 Team Head Coach
This is Brandy’s third year with Splash and her second season as an Assistant Coach with the Community Colleges of Spokane Volleyball program. Brandy is a 2006 graduate of River View High School in Finley, Washington. She competed on the CCS Volleyball team from 2006 to 2008. Brandy was awarded Second Team All-NWAACC Tournament and team MVP during the 2006 season and First Team All-Region for both the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Brandy is currently attending Eastern Washington University and majoring in biology/secondary education and getting a minor in mathematics. Brandy is excited and geared up for another successful season with Splash!
Cameron Willford, U-14 Team Head Coach
Cameron is a new addition this year to Splash Volleyball and comes highly recommended to our program. He has had a passion for volleyball since he was a young man tagging along while his mom played in a church league. Cameron really got involved with volleyball in college at BYU. He played competitive intramurals for three seasons, one of which resulted in the championship. Cameron coached girls’ competitive intramurals for three seasons and ended up winning two championships. More recently, Cameron has been coaching club volleyball in Texas and has furthered his volleyball education by taking various classes regarding theory and coaching strategies.
Kori Walter, U-15 Team Head Coach
Kori has been involved in the sport of volleyball for many years; playing throughout her childhood, high school and college career at Whitworth. She has over six years of coaching experience including varsity and freshman level positions as well as U-18 and U15 club volleyball for the past two years. Kori is a Fitness & Health Specialist in Spokane Public Schools teaching and promoting lifelong healthy lifestyles to our students through activity, sport and academic content. This is Kori’s first year with Splash Volleyball and she will be a great addition to our staff!
Chris Kosty, U-16 National Team Head Coach
Chris Kosty was the former Head Coach for the #1 ranked North Idaho College Cardinals and former Technical Manager at Oregon State University. His nine years of collegiate coaching were preceded by a successful career on the AVP pro-beach tour. He was on the US Men’s National Team and played for University of Hawaii and Long Beach State. He’s been the Head Coach at three California High Schools and a camp coach for 17 years, including at Stanford University. He has more than a decade of club coaching experience. This is his 6th year with Splash, one of which was assisting the U18’s to their National title win at the 2007 AAU Club Championships in Orlando, Florida. Last year he was the head coach for our U-16 team and is currently the Head Coach at Central Valley High School.
Diane Pascua, U-18 DK National Team Head Coach
Diane comes to our coaching staff with vast volleyball experience both on and off the court. A recent transplant from Southern California, she has been involved with Solana Beach Volleyball Club since 2000. From 2001-2006, Diane was the head girls varsity coach for Santa Fe Christian school. During her five years as Head Coach, the team competed in four state title matches, winning its first one in 2003 and second in 2005. In 2006, she stepped down from the position to pursue a career in professional beach volleyball. Diane was a volleyball standout at Gonzaga University from 1995-1999, where she surpassed 1,000 kills, and left the school top 10 in blocks, digs and aces. After college, she relocated in San Diego, and began coaching at the club level with Solana Beach VBC under the direction of Dave and Maria Barkley. Diane is currently an Assistant Coach at Gonzaga University and this is her second year with Splash Volleyball.
Rick Walter, U-18 RB Team Coach
Rick will be joining our coaching staff after spending his last five years in Las Vegas, Nevada. While living in Nevada Rick had a variety of coaching duties. He coached both women’s and men’s volleyball at Durango High School along with both men’s and women’s basketball. Rick has been coaching interscholastic sports for the past seven years. Rick is also in his first year as an Assistant Coach for the Community Colleges of Spokane Volleyball program. We are thrilled to have Rick as part of our Splash coaching staff!
